  • Manage a direct reporting team (or pods) of 10-12 engineers across Backend, UI, Mobile
  • Primary owner of delivery, timelines
  • Interfaces with Product, Business Stakeholders and other Engineering team, data, devops as required
  • Owner of architecture, design, code quality with involvement of a SDE 3 in their team

Appraisals:
  • Yearly appraisals are given for December to Jan term
  • Mid term Appriasals are given between June and July
  • Multiple performance based appraisals depending on the candidate
Bonuses
  • Joining bonus is given on first month of joining (half in first year and half in second year)
  • Retention bonus is given after completion of 12 months (Given on 13th month)

Variable Pay
  • Performance bonus (10% of the fixed salary - it might vary with candidate)
  • Variables are paid in 2 terms (Jan to June, July to Dec based on performance rating)
  • 1 to 5 scoring on candidate's job performance (Bonuses given as per ratings: 1 - 0, 2 - 50%, 3 - 100%, 4 - 110%, 5 - 120%)
  • Relocation bonus (INR 50000 - Includes Airfare, Bus fare with logistics).
  • Candidates can come and stay for 15 days in the HQ city in case of emergencies

Interview Process

1DS/AlgoFirst interview is on DS/Algo and will be taken by an external panel called Interview Desk.
2Coding roundSecond interview is Coding + Deep dive on DS/Algo as well by the internal panel. 2 to 3 coding questions will be asked live depending on the time. Candidates are assessed on - Coding capability, problem solving capability, efficacy (speed)) - Parameters rated out of 4 (1 being the lowest to 4 being the highest).
3LLDThis round will be based on questions on Schema design, product use cases, design implementation. Questions will be asked to design the app/module live (Includes the approach/executive of making a design and implementing it) (Rated out of 4)
4Cultural FitDiscussion round on the kind of projects they have worked on, have they been part of code review, mentoring, tenure of mentoring/leading, Reason for leaving/Future aspects) - with Hiring Manager/Engineering Manager
